Fire Alarms Systems

Protection Systems, Inc. protects thousands of clients from the destruction that occurs when a fire happens. Our systems provide that early warning during the first stages of a fire so the authorities can be alerted and the fire controlled. We know fire systems! We perform NFPA 72 fire inspections and we are NICET certified. Controlling one of life's most tragic events is a top priority for Protection Systems, Inc.

We feature a full range of electronic fire systems from Systems Sensor®, Fire-Lite® and Silent Knight®, among others.  We can protect the smallest structure to the largest commercial facility.

We work with the Fire Marshals at the local and state levels, engineers and architects to provide you with the best code compliant system for your building. We have an excellent relationship with all of the local Fire Marshalls, inspectors and AHJ's. Just ask one. We also can make sure your home is completely covered with fire and CO detection to provide you with the early warning you need to keep you and your loved ones safe.

Residential fire alarm systems tie into your alarm system to trigger fast response of fire detection.

Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA)

BDA systems, also known as an Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement Systems (ERCES) or Bi-Directional Amplifier, is a signal-boosting solution designed to enhance in-building radio frequency (RF) signal coverage for public safety radios. Depending on the type of commercial or industrial facility you manage, you might find it difficult to communicate with every part of your building. This can be especially problematic for Emergency Responders who use their handheld radios when they need to make important or time-sensitive communications to other emergency responders. Building code requires that you correct this with a BDA system.

Buildings requiring a BDA system include:

  • Hotels
  • Factories
  • Industrial
  • Storage Facilities
  • Schools and Universities
  • Apartment Communities
Are BDA System May Be Required By Law? An in-building DAS system increases the safety of building occupants. In cases of emergency, a public safety DAS system or ?I-BAND? network facilitates indoor 911 calls and is better equipped to handle the multitude of simultaneous calls that would otherwise overwhelm the available wireless coverage. It also provides first responders with improved communication. Public safety personnel such as firefighters and policemen require a reliable wireless network to communicate ? whether by voice or by data content. This is especially true in critical areas such as stairwells, where unaided radio frequency signals are weakest. For these reasons, in-building amplification systems are already being required in certain municipalities.

As you can see in the illustration, using the BDA system the responders are able to communicate with ground command without any issue.
